Race Regulations

For the Veluweloop a set of regulations, the so called 'Race Regulations' is in force. These regulations describe the way the Veleweloop is conducted, both the race part and the way other aspects are arranged.

The Dutch version: Wedstrijdreglement_2025_veluweloop is online available.

Although the Dutch version is leading, we're also providing you with a translation: Veluweloop_2025_Race_Regulations_EN

The 2025 version is a fully revised version. There are textual changes compared with last year, making the regulations more easy to read/understand.  And we've changed definitions, for example there are now 'open' stages (any gender can run) and 'women-only' stages.

Another change is that the GPX-route as provided on the website is leading over the descriptions in the booklet. And that the route on the website can be updated upto the last moment.  Of course, clear on-site deviations by our volunteers 'in the field' must always be followed.

Also there are now earliest and latest start-times at each of the relay-points, we've clarified (and lowered) the potential penalties, given race control more options to act upon unforseen circumstances and the regulations for the final stage (Campus>Bongerd) have been updated, to better accomodate this stage when this is a 'women only' stage.
